Hello! My name is Lisa Greenawalt and I know first hand how too much sitting can wreak havoc on our joints–especially our hips. We were built to move; not sit in front of a computer all day –but that’s life in today’s modern world isn’t it? So what’s the answer? Get to the gym. Lift heavy things. Challenge your muscles to grow. Get out and walk. Eat a healthy, balanced diet of nutrient-dense food, drink lots of water, and get plenty of rest.

Yes, I know, you’ve probably been hearing this for years from your doctor or maybe even a concerned loved one. But, are you doing anything about it?

I became a personal trainer because I truly enjoy being in the gym. It is my happy place. When I’m there I’m all business. I put on my headphones and listen to my favorite playlist. I don’t want to chit chat –I just want to push myself, and get that rush of endorphins that make me feel like I accomplished something. Getting exercise shouldn’t be something you dread. It should be fun, right? Of course. But, all too often I will look around the gym and see people with a look on their face that says, “I can’t wait to get out of here.” It could be that they generally find the gym culture unpleasant and ‘judgy’ or maybe they just lack confidence to not give a rip what other people think. I get it. My mother is in her 80’s and she’s very intimidated by the gym. If you feel the same, call me, I would love to help you lift confidently so you can start to love the gym!
